Bookkeeping:
- This committee will be responsible for the day to day operation of the fund, including editing, accounting and secretarial functions.
Fundraising:
- The purpose of this committee is to raise funds and collect donations to meet the goals of the Polychondritis Educational Society, Ltd., (PES). Some of the duties will include the following:
Membership Committee:
- This committee will be responsible to keep records of members to the PES, The Support Report Newsletter and support groups and data bases pertaining to them.Contacting members when they are ill or in possible need of assistance. This committee will work with the Public Relations and Medical Liaison committees to further membership of all activities of PES.
Medical Liaison Committee:
- This committee will be solely responsible for contacting doctors with regards to RP issues, symposiums and support. The committee will also keep a data bank on the various physicians who treat RP including area of specialty and location. Finally, this committee will be responsible for the establishment of the Doctors Support Network which will serve to provide material, brochures, resources and communications between physicians.
Public Relations:
- The purpose of this committee is to further the goals of the PES and its sub-committees through the use of different mediums to bring a heightened awareness of Polychondritis and its treatments to the medical community. Some of the duties of this committee will include the following:
Research:
- This committee will be responsible to conduct and maintain research in various topics as it relates to RP. It should also be responsible in the development of a Universally Accepted Definition of Relapsing Polychondritis.
